The Red season is about to get underway starting Thursday night in Rochester in Volleyball.
The Dragons will open league play with a 29-1 record against the Stoney Creek Cougars. Orion is ranked second in the State according to the Michigan Volleyball Coaches Association. Stoney Creek has an honorable mention in the poll.
Mandy Moran's Cougars return two very good hitters in Sammy Sattaman and Alexa Tomlauck. Both players have been counted on to lead Stoney Creek but they have had some bumps in the road lately.
Stoney Creek appears to be one of the favorites once district play starts as they go to Utica Eisenhower and see Adams, Rochester, Utica, and Utica Eisenhower.
We'll see what happens.
