New Football Divisions Out.

Well here are the new Football Divisions and especially the Red Division where it could be very interesting based on the division and how it is set up for the Dragons.

Red.

ORION

Oxford

Clarkston

Southfield A&T

Troy Athens

Stoney Creek

West Bloomfield

Southfield merged with Lathrup to become Southfield A&T. The Warriors return a lot of talent especially from Southfield and they are wanting to prove something after both squads were eliminated from the playoffs last season by Berkley. 

Travel is a major concern in this division especially with having to play games at 5:30 PM, it's not ideal for Oxford, Clarkston, and Orion having to go down to Southfield to play that type of game. Also Troy Athens and Stoney Creek may not be ideal to that idea either.

Stoney Creek has a new coach in Bob Lantzy. Lantzy coached at Utica Eisenhower for 40 years but retired in 2011. He coached two seasons at Powell Middle School in Romeo before coming back to coach the Cougars. Stoney Creek's defense is a major concern after allowing over 20 points the last two seasons under former Coach Brad Zube, now at Brandon.

The Dragons must replace a new quarterback after Caiden Prieskorn left for Orchard Lake St. Mary's and Keith Fields left to go to Waterford Mott. The Orion defense has been a huge reason why they haven't made the playoffs the last two seasons allowing over 20 points in each of the two seasons.

We'll see what happens from here but these are some early storylines.
