The Lake Orion Dragons Volleyball team is heading back to the State Semifinals for the first time since 2011 when they went to the State Finals.
Lake Orion beat Flushing 25-17,
25-20, 25-19 on Tuesday night in the State Quarterfinals at Fenton.
The Dragons played lethargic all
night which one time in the third set the game was tied 16-16 but Lake Orion
pulled through behind their experience.
Paige Briggs led the charge with
13 kills while Sydney Smith had 12 kills. Wren MaCaulay had 28 assists and
Ciara Livingway had 23 digs in the contest.
Lake Orion is 66-6 on the season
and will play Farmington Hills Mercy on Friday at 4:30 PM in Battle Creek. The
Marlins hold a 3-1 season series edge against the Dragons.
It will be interesting on Friday
afternoon.
