Thoughts on Every OAA Team so far.

Written Wednesday September 4th, at 11:30 PM

24. Ferndale Eagles (0-1): Eagles need this game with Royal Oak if they want any chance at the playoffs.

23. Royal Oak Ravens (0-1): Ravens are 2-44 since 2007.

22. Pontiac Phoenix (0-1): Phoenix will have a tough time with Stoney Creek on Friday.

21. Bloomfield Hills Blackhawks (0-1): Blackhawks are in deep trouble on the Blue Turf Friday and Oxford is still in a foul mood after what happened to them last week against Lake Orion.

20. Berkley Bears (0-1): Bears played tough last week in the loss to Redford Thurston. We’ll see what happens against North Farmington in Farmington Hills.

19. Hazel Park Vikings (0-1): Hazel Park lost a tough one to Madison Heights Bishop Foley last week but open up their new digs this week against Beverly Hills Wylie E Groves.

18. Troy Athens Red Hawks (0-1): Run defense will be a huge problem again on Friday just like Warren Mott.

17. Farmington Falcons (0-1): Defense is a major issue. Tough schedule does not help Falcons cause to get back to the playoffs.

16. Southfield-Lathrup Chargers (1-0): Chargers will have a heavy dose of reality when Oak Park visits Friday.

15. West Bloomfield Lakers (1-0): Lakers will have a heavy dose of reality when Clarkston visits Friday.

14. Troy Colts (0-1): Big game with Rochester on Friday for the Colts. If they lose this game then they are in big trouble.

13. Beverly Hills Wylie E Groves (1-0): The Falcons got a huge win in Bloomfield Hills but a shootout looms with Hazel Park this week.

12. Rochester Falcons (1-0): Falcons on the right track. Have a huge game with Troy Friday.

11. North Farmington Raiders (1-0): Raiders are an under the radar team after beating Bay City John Glenn, they should roll past Berkley this week.

10. Clarkston Wolves (0-1): Division One talent doesn’t always win you games and the Wolves saw that the hard way last week. A quarterback controversy is looming with some rumblings that a change is needed to jumpstart this Clarkston offense.

9. Avondale Yellow Jackets (1-0): Big game with Birmingham Seaholm on Friday. It could decide the Blue.

8. Birmingham Seaholm Maples (1-0): Big game in Auburn Hills on Friday. If defense holds then they have a great shot at repeating the Blue.

7. Farmington Hills Harrison Hawks (1-0): The Hawks didn’t have much of a contest last week but will this week in the form of Rochester Adams.

6. Oxford Wildcats (0-1): Don’t worry Wildcats you’ll enjoy this week and be back to 500 in no time.

5. Southfield Blue Jays (0-1): Farmington’s defense is much different than Detroit Cass Tech so the Blue Jays should be fine this week.

4. Stoney Creek Cougars (1-0): Brad Zube will be dancing with his cane this week with Pontiac in Rochester. Next three weeks are going to be a different story with Troy, Lake Orion, and Clarkston looming, two of those three games are on the road.

3. Oak Park Knights (1-0): After Southfield-Lathrup the Knights have Rochester Adams on the road and Southfield in two weeks at Knight Valley. It could tell what type of team coach Greg Carter has.

2. Rochester Adams Highlanders (1-0): If Adams has a Clarkston hangover against Harrison then they are in trouble. If they lose they maybe back in the danger zone with games against Oak Park, Southfield, and Oxford looming.

1. Lake Orion Dragons (1-0): Dragons offense is tough to stop when clicking on all cylinders. It could be a long year for opposing defensive coordinators yet again who has to play Lake Orion.
