Seasons were not meant to be and history was made for the
wrong reason.
That’s what happened on Friday night at Rochester Adams.
The Highlanders (5-4, 4-3 White) scored a late touchdown on
a Dragons defense that has struggled all season long and recovered a fumble on
a kickoff return giving them a 30-26 victory over Lake Orion.
The Dragons finish the season 4-5 and 4-3 in the Red and had
its first losing season since 1996. Lake
Orion will not be in the playoffs
for the first time since 2000 when they finished 5-4.
There will be a lot of questions heading into next season. Clearly
Lake Orion
needs a new identity for next season and with a favorable schedule they could
turn it around but for now there are no playoffs this season and next season
couldn’t come soon enough.
