OAA Picks: Week Seven.

Keith Dunlap of MIPrepzone joins myself and Ant to project games this week. Sorry Tigers fans sadly.

Troy at 1 Clarkston: The Wolves did not look good against Troy Athens but then again Clarkston put in mostly their backups. Kurt Richardson was not happy last week but this week his team should have one more breeze game against a Colts team that has struggled all season long.

DD PICK: CLARKSTON 56, TROY 0.

ANT PICK: CLARKSTON 49, TROY 0.

KEITH PICK: CLARKSTON 42, TROY 7.

Seaholm at 2. Oak Park: The Knights looked very good in shutting out North Farmington last week. The Maples were shutout by Southfield. By the looks of this, this doesn’t bone well for Seaholm.

DD PICK: OAK PARK 42, SEAHOLM 0.

ANT PICK: OAK PARK 35, SEAHOLM 0.

KEITH PICK: OAK PARK 40, SEAHOLM 8.

3. West Bloomfield at 7. Oxford: This match up is a clash of styles. The Wildcats like pound the rock while the Lakers like speed and athleticism. This game will be won on the trenches and oddly enough it doesn’t favor Oxford.

DD PICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD 42, OXFORD 14.

ANT PICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD 35, OXFORD 14.

KEITH PICK: WEST BLOOMFIELD 24, OXFORD 21.

Royal Oak at 4. Harrison: This game has blood bath written all over it. The Ravens are outmatched against the Hawks speed, size, and athleticism. Royal Oak has been one of my major disappointments, thought they could build on last season’s 4-5 year but they have not.

ANT PICK: HARRISON 59, ROYAL OAK 0.

KEITH PICK: HARRISON 46, ROYAL OAK 6.

5. Groves at 10. Berkley: This game maybe the best in the league this week. The Falcons will be tested the final three weeks of the season with Farmington at home next week, this game at Hurley Field, and at Waterford Mott in two weeks. The Bears were exposed last week by Farmington and is looking for a bounce back game here.

ANT PICK: BERKLEY 21, GROVES 20.

KEITH PICK: GROVES 17, BERKLEY 13.

Rochester at 6. Southfield: The Falcons put more points in one game than in the previous five weeks last week against Royal Oak but the problem here is the opponent.

DD PICK: SOUTHFIELD 42, ROCHESTER 0.

ANT PICK: SOUTHFIELD 62, ROCHESTER 0.

KEITH PICK: SOUTHFIELD 38, ROCHESTER 0.

Hazel Park at 8. Farmington: Happy Homecoming Sean Coulter.

DD PICK: FARMINGTON 56, HAZEL PARK 0.

ANT PICK: FARMINGTON 28, HAZEL PARK 0.

KEITH PICK: FARMINGTON 42, HAZEL PARK 0.

9. Orion at Bloomfield Hills: Interesting match up here but looks like the Dragons could be back after the way they played last week against Stoney Creek but they still have to win out just to make the playoffs. The Blackhawks defense is a mess, allowed 61 points last week to West Bloomfield. It might get worse.

DD PICK: ORION 42, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 14.

ANT PICK: ORION 42, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 21.

KEITH PICK: ORION 45, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 14.

Stoney Creek at Troy Athens: The Cougars were disappointed after losing last week to Orion. They maybe in deep trouble heading into the final three weeks of the regular season especially with having to play Rochester in two weeks. The Red Hawks lost by 17 points last week to Clarkston.

DD PICK: STONEY CREEK 27, TROY ATHENS 7.

ANT PICK: STONEY CREEK 31, TROY ATHENS 14.

KEITH PICK: STONEY CREEK 21, TROY ATHENS 10.

Ferndale at Avondale: Two 3-3 teams will meet with the winner being in good shape. The Eagles have won two straight while the Yellow Jackets have lost two straight. It’s huge for Avondale especially with them going to Waterford Kettering in two weeks.

DD PICK: FERNDALE 31, AVONDALE 28.

ANT PICK: AVONDALE 23, FERNDALE 21.

KEITH PICK: AVONDALE 28, FERNDALE 20.

North Farmington at Adams: The Highlanders will likely miss the playoffs for the second time in three seasons but still have hope. The Raiders sit at 3-3 and have beaten the teams they should beat and lost to the teams they should lose too. This is a make or break game for North Farmington especially who they have next week, Harrison.

DD PICK: ADAMS 35, NORTH FARMINGTON 21.

ANT PICK: ADAMS 24, NORTH FARMINGTON 14.

KEITH PICK: ADAMS 31, NORTH FARMINGTON 14.

Lathrup at Pontiac: This match up is a tough one for the Phoenix. Pontiac has struggled all season. The Chargers have been one of my major disappointments especially moving down to the Blue. Lathrup though has the right man in Keith Stephens to fix the issues over in Lathrup Village.
