Volleyball Beats Oxford, have Seaholm next.
The Orion Dragons took a hit when Courtney Wightman went out with an ankle injury last weekend in Mount Morris and is out 2-3 weeks.
The third ranked Dragons (44-3) went into Oxford and beat the Wildcats 25-12, 25-11, and 25-21 on Tuesday night setting the stage for their monster showdown with Seaholm in Birmingham on Thursday night in which if the Dragons win they would clinch a share of the Red title.
Orion was led by Natalie Wehner's ten kills, Danielle Sargent had six kills while Leah Kalugar had 18 assists. Mallorie Berriman had six blocks in the victory.
We'll see what happens.
Dragons Soccer controls destiny in White.
Orion Soccer is controlling their destiny in the White as they beat Seaholm 2-1 at Orion on Tuesday night. The Dragons are 8-1-6 overall with their only loss coming to Bloomfield Hills but they avenged that game in Bloomfield Hills. Orion sits 4-1-6 in which they control their own destiny if they win out.
The Dragons scored in the first 36 seconds of the game as Kyle Watson headed a goal off a corner kick for a 1-0 lead. Orion would then strike again in the second half as Connor Strugess scored from 20 yards out for a 2-0 lead.
The Maples whom was playing their third game in four days got a goal late and was charging late. Seaholm has Bloomfield Hills next.
The Dragons will play West Bloomfield on the road next and then have a makeup game on Monday in Birmingham against the Maples, we'll see what happens.
