Dragons Volleyball off to a good note

The Orion Volleyball team got off to a good start in Red play by sweeping the Oxford Wildcats 25-21, 25-15, and 25-17 Thursday night at Orion.

Orion was led by Natalie Wehner’s 15 kills along with Hannah Murdock who had a good performance.

Kori Varney had 16 digs to lead Lake Orion while Nicole Wehner has taking over the setters’ role which was left by Rachel Giwa.

The Dragons (22-3-1, 1-0 Red) was ranked ninth in the state will play this weekend in a loaded pool at Portage Central and then return to Red play and await the fourth ranked Birmingham Seaholm Maples, who was beat by sixth ranked Clarkston 13-25, 25-16,  22-25, 23-25 at Orion on Tuesday night.
