Dragons run all over the Colts, await the Falcons next

Written Saturday September 22nd, at 12:20 AM

In a game of pick your poison what do you stop if your Troy??? The power running game, the passing game, or the jet sweep running game, the answer for Troy was that they could not stop any of it.

The top ranked in the Dragons Den poll and third in the AP Poll, Lake Orion Dragons just simply ran over the Colts 38-0 at Lake Orion on Friday night.

Troy could not stop Zack Arnold, Cory Ester, or Jacob Miller. All three had at least one touchdown on the night.

The second play of the game saw Arnold ran a jet sweep to the left for a 79 yard touchdown to make it 7-0 Lake Orion.

Jeremy King added a 19 yard field goal to make 10-0 Dragons. Then the big play happened again.

After a 68 yard run by Miller, Arnold took one to the house from eight yards out to make it 17-0 Dragons.

Oh wait it’s not done.

Ester than ran the ball for a 75 yard touchdown to make it 24-0 Lake Orion.

Miller than got his touchdown from 23 yards out to make it 31-0 Dragons. Then to wrap it up Senior Quarterback Derrick DeLaura found fellow Senior Chaz Miller for a eight yard touchdown to make it 38-0 Lake Orion to close out the scoring.

Lake Orion has been dominant since the Oxford game in the first half on offense, scoring 207 points in the last five games.

The Dragons defense was on all night, shutting down the Cherry twins (Terrance and Torrance and the returning Jay Darish (shoulder-Romeo) and Justin Losey (shoulder-Rochester) who came back from injuries.

The top ranked Dragons are now 5-0 on the season and 4-0 in the Red now host the seventh ranked Rochester Falcons on Friday night for Homecoming at Lake Orion. Rochester is a very good football team, especially defensibly so this could be an interesting game to see.
