OAA Rankings. Week Six.

Written Saturday October 5th, at 1:40 AM

You got your lovers and your haters so I got plenty of hating in this week's poll with Disney characters and also some well famous people around the Troy and Farmington communities, road tours for Oak Park, artwork for Colts fans, and a deer-head appearance. So stay tuned and enjoy the new poll out.

24: Hazel Park Vikings (0-6): Somewhere above the rainbow, could be never ever land in Hazel Park

23. Pontiac Phoenix: (0-6): Got crushed by Clarkston last week, now got Lake Orion this week. Ouch.

22. Ferndale Eagles (1-5): Is it Girls Basketball season yet??? No offense.

21. Troy Athens Red Hawks (1-5): Somewhere Troy Athens Athletic Director Bob Dowd must be shaking his head in disbelief right now.

20. Southfield-Lathrup Chargers (1-5): Chargers are 0-5 since beating Pontiac in the first week of the season.

19. Bloomfield Hills Blackhawks (1-5): Tough year just got worse for the Blackhawks in the form of another home loss.

18. Avondale Yellow Jackets (2-4): This team does not deserve to be in the playoffs after losing four of five games.

17. Farmington Falcons (2-4): Somewhere Sean Coulter must be shaking his head in disbelief right now.

16. Royal Oak Ravens (2-4): Thought the Ravens turned the corner and been competitive like they were last week against Seaholm??? Well I was wrong sadly.

15. Troy Colts (2-4): The artwork “The Scream” can describe the last two weeks the Colts have been through. Troy has been outscored 93-24 (in which included allowing 41 points to West Bloomfield) in the last two weeks and worse they get Clarkston this week.

14. Oxford Wildcats (2-4): Toughest 2-4 team in the state right now. Win out and you could still get in at 5-4 but need help from the teams you lost too to keep winning.

13. Berkley Bears (3-3): Berkley is the Kansas City Royals of football. The Bears this week have a big game when they travel to Beverly Hills. If they get this one then it’s onto the playoffs.

12. West Bloomfield Lakers (3-3): Lakers shocked Troy 41-7 on homecoming night in Laker land. Now they have an even bigger game this week with Stoney Creek with major playoff hopes at stake in Laker land.

11. Rochester Falcons (3-3): Falcons need to bounce back from losing to Lake Orion last week but have found a very good quarterback to receiver tandem and hope to carry them to the playoffs.

10. North Farmington Raiders (4-2): One more win and Raider nation is playoff bound. They play an eight game schedule this season.

9. Rochester Adams Highlanders (4-2): Loss of quarterback hurts the Highlanders chances going forward.

8. Beverly Hills Wylie E. Groves Falcons (6-0): Falcons better beware of the Berkley this week and not look ahead to next week with Birmingham Seaholm.

7. Birmingham Seaholm Maples (6-0): The Maples can get ready for Beverly Hills Wylie E. Groves with Hazel Park on their homecoming.

6. Oak Park Knights (5-1): Coach Greg Carter, his Knights, and the bus drivers should get a reward with all the travel the Knights have done so far this season and the road tour continues with a trip to Farmington to meet Harrison. A playoff home game would be nice for Oak Park.

5. Stoney Creek Cougars (5-1): The Cougars better be ready for a tough slate coming up (West Bloomfield and Rochester are on the road and the crossover at home)

4. Farmington Hills Harrison Hawks (5-1): Hawks better be ready for a road weary Oak Park team if not they can kiss second place goodbye.

3. Lake Orion Dragons (5-1): Can the Dragons play like they are in the fourth quarter every night??? It’s worked well lately.

2. Southfield Blue Jays (5-1): One more test for the Blue Jays and the White would be colored in dark blue, gray, and red this season.

1. Clarkston Wolves (5-1): Even the Deerhead can’t save Troy against the Wolves.
