Dragons beat Colts but was ugly.

Written Saturday September 13th, at 1:05 PM

The first home game of the season wasn’t so brisk to start with especially looking at the score on Friday night at halftime.

The score read 7-7, Matt Krause was shut down, and the Colts had all the momentum.

Until Jaylen Wiggins blocked a field goal attempt late in the second quarter.

Lake Orion took off by scoring 28 of it’s 35 unanswered points in the second half. The rally started on a huge return by Zach Serzo taking the ball deep into Troy territory. It would be Keith Fields who scored the Dragons next touchdown making the score 14-7 Orion.

The Dragons lead by Krause had 121 yards and two touchdowns, both in the second half. Fields had a touchdown and Serzo had two touchdowns (one rushing and one receiving) to lead the Lake Orion ground attack. Cameron Kostich was three for three with 85 yards and a touchdown pass.

The Colts was led by running back Erik Paperanda who had a touchdown.

Lake Orion (2-1, 2-0 Red) will move on and take on Oxford (3-0, 2-0 Red) next week. We’ll see what happens.
